Experience the power of flow yoga through vinyasa based sequencing. Classes are an intelligent mix of dynamic movement based asana where postures are woven together by using the breath to build strength in the legs and core while increasing flexibility in the hips and spine. Spinal wave flows, cooling yin moon flows, and hot fire sun flows will all be combined with inspiring yoga wisdom, and vibrational healing to cultivate strong pranic lifeforce energy. All levels are welcomed.
Community Yoga classes are beginner-friendly classes taught by Teacher Trainees enrolled in DYC's Teacher Training & Mentorship Programs.Class formats vary and include Yoga Fundamentals, where attention is given to alignment details, or beginner's level Vinyasa Flow.
Each class will include instruction in foundational yoga postures and how to use props to support your postures. Modifications will be offered for each posture.Remember – even your favorite DYC teachers started in their very same shoes. Spinal wave flows and cooling yin moon flows, will all be combined with inspiring yoga wisdom, and vibrational healing to cultivate a state of inner peace. All levels welcome.
Explore the profound healing, deep relaxation and harmony that comes with combining mindfulness and sound healing. During each session, we will use breathing, sensory experiences, visualization, and sound healing from gongs, crystal bowls and other instruments.
At the end of the class, you will have the opportunity to ask questions, talk about your experiences, and discuss physiological and psychological outcomes. Mindfulness and sound healing have been shown to reduce stress, improve attention, cope with difficult situations, and increase feelings of compassion.
All levels welcome; previous background is not needed to begin.
