Eagle is a "Mysore Style" Ashtanga Yoga instructor directly 'authorized' to teach the method by the late master Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and current lineage director Sri R. Sharath Jois of Mysore, India.

After a successful professional sports career filled with both competition and an emersion into his own personal yoga rehabilitation, Eagle dedicated himself to the 'one-on-one' Mysore Style method of Ashtanga Yoga by spending several months per year for a 10 year period (2003-2012) living in Mysore, India and training at the K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute on a daily basis. (KPJAYI.org)

Over the past 14 years Eagle has taught this "Mysore Style" method at the shala / school he founded on the north shore by the name of Pineapple Yoga KAUAI, on the Hawaiian Islands. (PineappleYoga.com)

His experience and intentions while teaching the "Mysore Style" classes are on supporting / creating the principals of awareness and the fundamental actions that deliver sustainability and longevity to the practitioner. Fundamentals make mastery.

While practicing with Eagle, the students are able to practice a clear system of priorities / techniques in time honored lineage with a passionate instructor who has a sincere love for sharing the deep healing benefits of authentic Ashtanga Yoga.

"There is no age limit for the practice of yoga and it can be practiced by anyone — by women, men, the weak, and by those who are sick or disabled." - Yoga Master Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India

David Sunshine and DYC are excited to welcome Eagle and his unbridled enthusiasm for the Mysore practice with the Dallas Ashtanga community. One of the great benefits that Eagle has to share is that fact that he used Ashtanga to aid in his own recovery after a sacral fusion, regaining a spot among the top ten racquetball players in the world within two years. He has made India his second home – living there between two to six months every year for the past ten years. His continued studies in India include strengthening his understanding of alignment with BKS Iyengar, as well as a host of other teachers. He offers a structured understanding of how to access, and apply this practice in manner that is appropriate for everyone.

Eagle is currently not instructing any classes.
