Lauren

Lauren began practicing yoga nearly 15 years ago as a way to increase flexibility, but it quickly became apparent there was much more to be found. After years of trying many different styles in several studios, she found her deepest connection with a sound-vibration based power practice. This approach connected her to the amazing gift of meditation through asana, which led her to explore other meditation forms & various workshops.

After having two children, as a working mom, the importance of her yoga practice became paramount in helping create harmony in daily life. Through teacher training at the Dallas Yoga Center, Lauren discovered new ways to connect with sound meditation and restorative yoga, which once again shifted her entire perspective and practice. A profound interest in holistic wellness has led her to study Ayurveda, pranayama, aromatherapy & more. Lauren's goal as a teacher is to compassionately guide others to find more balance and peace through yoga and meditation. She hopes everyone can experience deep connection to oneself and pure bliss through any style of practice, yin to yang, and take what they learn with them off the mats.

Lauren instructs the following:
  • Vinyasa Mixed Levels
  • Experience a dynamic flow of yoga postures in which movement is sequenced with the breath. This practice moves at a more moderate pace to build heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and concentration. Sequencing is often built around sun salutations.  All levels welcome.

  • Sound Healing Meditation
  • Experience the healing power of sound through chanting, toning, mantra, with singing bowls or harmonium. Connect the breath & sound to create a deeply relaxed meditative state. Discussion of principles included. All levels.

  • Women's Moon Gathering - July
  • $20 Limited Space is available

“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly,
but rarely admit the changes it has gone
    through to achieve that beauty.”
                                                  Maya Angelou

This women's gathering will fall directly on the July full moon in the sign of Capricorn, and you won't want to miss this chance to connect. During this incredibly intense time, the moon is opposite Mars while the sun is conjunct with Mars. Mars' placement can lead to a time of frustrations and short tempers.

In this time together, we will discuss a woman's path to express frustrations constructively, and how to harness fiery energy into a catalyst for change. Through pranayama breathing exercises, essential oils and grounding techniques we will find conscious awareness of our extreme emotions and connect with our inner positive spiritual warrior.

Our Women’s Moon Gathering invites women to take time out for sacred reflection and meditation on the divine feminine, on the light that the moon sheds on our inner knowing, and on our connection with each other and all of life.

What to expect in this full moon:

    Chanting
    Connecting to others
    Breathing techniques
    Sound meditation
    Mindfulness tactics for growth
