Jami began her yoga sojourn in 2004 – with an odyssey into awakening included a lot of grit, sweat and tears on the mat. She discovered a life shift with her original mentor Suze Curtis and her studio, where she found her first yoga home and ultimately began teaching for 5 years.


In 2012, Jami returned to Dallas Yoga Center where she earned her 200 Hr RYT. At DYC, she experienced the profound physiological and emotional benefits of slowing down, the healing power of rest, and the importance of balance. Her studies in Ayurveda include DYC Ayurveda Series with Kathleen Lohr, Ayuryoga with Dr. Vasant Ladd and Maria Garre of the Ayurveda Institute, as well as continuing studies with the Himalayan Institute. Her current Yang practice, as well as more meditative practices, and Ayurveda, have all brought her to a profound place of balance and harmony ~ which she wishes to share with her students.
