Caroline

Caroline has been practicing yoga since 1998 and dancing since birth. She has an innate curiosity about the world, and loves how yoga teaches her something new every single day. She encourages her students to question, learn, and discover new things about their bodies, their minds, and the world around them.

 

Her teaching style and practice are influenced by the many exceptional teachers she has had the opportunity to study with, including Marylou McNamara, Margaret Townsend, and Mary Pappas-Sandonas. She earned her 200 hr RYT from the Dallas Yoga Center.

Caroline also draws from her dance background, bringing joy and freedom of movement into her teaching.



Caroline instructs the following:
  • Belly Dance
  • The class will focus on basic belly dance technique, including posture, isolations, shimmies, undulations, and travelling steps. The class is structured by clear movement breakdowns, hands-on adjustments, and integrating movements through combinations. Appropriate for all ages, body-types, and levels of fitness. Discover the goddess within by learning to dance in a fun and supportive environment!

  • Fundamentals Beg-Lvl 1
  • Dallas Yoga Center's Beg - Level 1 classes gives students newer to yoga the opportunity to return to the fundamentals of yoga in a fun, non-competitive environment. These classes introduce breathing techniques, emphasize proper alignment, and are designed to give you a firm foundation on which your practice can flourish.
     
    Perfect for students who have never practiced yoga before, and those who are returning to yoga after a break or injury.

  • Beginners Yoga
  • Start your practice on the right foot. Dallas Yoga Center offers beginner level classes specifically designed for those new to yoga. Basic postures and breathing techniques will be introduced in a warm and inviting environment for those who cannot touch their toes.

  • Vinyasa Mixed Levels
  • Experience a dynamic flow of yoga postures in which movement is sequenced with the breath. This practice moves at a more moderate pace to build heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and concentration. Sequencing is often built around sun salutations.  All levels welcome.

  • Restorative Yoga
  • Learn the art of relaxation. A quiet, inward focused practice that uses supported passive postures to deeply relax the body, replenish prana (or energy) and restore clarity to the mind. Prepare for bliss! A great class for all levels including beginners.
