This class is taught by:

Elizabeth Conway

A lifelong dancer and yoga student for 20 years, Elizabeth has done a variety of practices including Hatha, Vinyasa, Bikram, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Anusara, Kundalini and Tantric yoga supplemented with a heavy dose of meditation and Pranayama. In 2012, a year-long Anusara Immersion solidified her desire to pursue a yoga teaching certification. She sealed the deal after studying for 6 weeks with Gerard Arnaud at the Fédération Française de Yoga, where, not speaking much French, she learned strict posturing by being pushed into alignment by Gerard's not-so-gentle feet.

Elizabeth returned to California to get her teaching certification in Hatha Yoga from Namaste- Oakland instructed by Ashley Sharp, David Moreno and Baxter Bell. She enjoys teaching fluid movement, grace, strength and stillness and encourages all students to journey inward, fall, laugh, sing, and practice loving kindness, starting with themselves.

Sandi M. Morse

Sandi has been practicing yoga since 2002 and has been teaching since 2010. She was trained in the Sivananda hatha yoga lineage – and received her 200 hour certification through their teaching program. She also thoroughly enjoys both teaching and exploring a wide variety of yoga traditions as a path to the self.

Sandi believes in incorporating yoga in all aspects of her work and lifestyle. Sandi is a licensed clinical social worker and is a practicing psychotherapist and health care administrator. She feels that the depth of self-reflection and transformation in yoga help create a more balanced and holistic approach to dealing with the stress we encounter in our daily lives.

Sandi creates a warm and positive energy in her classes and approaches yoga from a total body, mind and spirit perspective. She often incorporates meditation, readings and music in her classes and encourages students to enjoy the journey of their yoga practice. Sandi feels blessed to have found yoga and has found it amazingly transformative! She loves to share this gift of yoga with her students.

Session begins with a short guided meditation - using visualization and breath awareness to calm and center the mind to reduce stress. These techniques can be integrated into a daily meditation practice to use in your daily life.

All levels welcome; previous background in meditation is not needed to begin. Comfortable clothes suggested - no jeans, etc. Chairs will be available. Space is limited.
